Organic Machine Persona
This piece consists of textures that are referenced from organic materials. This was created using maya and adobe substance painter.
Explorer's Hidden Secret
This project consist of creating multiple props for a room in a game-like stylized.
Gold Vase
This vase was modeled and textured by me. I hand drew the pattern and my initials in the middle of the vase.
This was modeled and rendered in maya, the texturing was done in adobe substance painter.
Objects
This work was all modeled and textured by me. I had fun utilizing Adobe Substance Painter to texture and maya to model and render these objects, bringing them to life.
Some of the patterns on the textures are hand-drawn by me in Adobe Substance Painter. In these objects below the blood is specifically hand-drawn. This personalizes the work to a subtle pattern that is understandable to me.
These objects are stylized to be cartoon-looking but they retain the "dark" component to match up to the theme of the room they belong too.
Concubines Leisure Room
This project consist of creating props that are specific to the theme of the room. I choose a Chinese space that was very clean an meticulous with everything almost carefully placed. I wanted the story to be a representation of how in old China concubines would always try to be perfect to win the emperor's heart and become the official wife.
Assets
These props were all created with autodesk maya and later surfaced with adobe substance painter. Later, to render in maya.
This consists of a total of 5 furniture pieces, a shrine, a nigata, a jewelery box, lanterns, paintings, fish statues, and a carpet.
Shrine
The shine was my favorite prop to work on because it helped me explore different textures with the vases and play around with getting things of the same color to be differentiated by their material.
For example the flowers have more of a fake look on the while the solid plastic can be felt on the base of the shrine.
The picture in the shrine includes a picture of myself with my grandpa.
double-bladed naginata
The weapon was also fun to work with because it had me explore how I can represent blood in a way that looks fresh.
The holder of the weapon where also a big help to exploring what patterns would work best and how to handle them correctly when placing them.
The metal was also interesting to work with since I had a variation of them in this specific render, with my turntable on the bottom and my weapon on top.
